The tree!

The tree...
Dec 30th 4:00 pm

He found her lifeless,
Cool, tough....
Small,  cornered, indrawn,
A bit rough...

He cast her away, careless,
With one sunny fleeting smile...
And sprang to life a precious seed,
By the charms of life beguiled!

She put down roots, at first shy,
Then boldly dug she deep...
And skyward striking vivid,
Her soul first flashed, then leaped!

She spread her arms, awry...
Blushing with the dawn of grace!
First flowers, coloured with love!!
She had finally found her place!!!

His first touch filled her life soul...
She never forgot the hour!
She waited why she knew not...
He had come to pluck a flower!

Grieved she shed each covering...
He thought it was the fall!
She folded into herself,
And wondered at his gall!

He craved her flowers, her warmth,
As the cold winds harshly blew...
Life lured him on yet strongly...
And to his axe, he flew!

Nature wailed with ice storms,
As he cut her, quick to her core...
She remembered him taking her flowers,
She had lived this scene before...

He hewed her to his liking,
She laughed at the twists of fate...
As he wrote his ode to her flowers,
She lay burning in his grate!
