Entwined with hurt, with pain 

You fly on the wings of free play 

Till you go to sleep in chains...

You try to teach me laughter...

While tears are your only charms

You come to give me comfort...

But I find you in my arms!!!

I tell myself till I believe it

I had been only dreaming...

I fill in details to suit my truth

With all the frills and trimming!

Yes, I ignore my heart beating

For reasons right and wrong 

Yet every now and then...

I break into a song!

The other starlit, a little free...

They had met in a blue moon moment

A long long way alone,

Upheld by doubts it flies...

On the wings of differences borne!

How quick we are to hurt,

That which we count as treasure...

Of truth, this my friend...

Is my true love's first true measure!!!
